Phantom 3 and Bentley Petrol Filters. We send to you herewith:- LeC.4721 showing the petrol filter for Phantom 3 mounted on the crossmember in front of the petrol tank. This cancels the original design - LeC.4645 which was outside the frame, and suffered from syphoning of the petrol from the tank. The design is entirely new in order to make the gauzes easily detachable for cleaning from the top of the car, the stirrup being arranged above instead of below as in the old pattern. Please receive herewith:- LeC.4734 showing the same design for the Bentley, the only difference being that on this car the petrol pipes are .062 smaller than Phantom 3. This scheme can be used either with the petrol pump on the dashboard or with the petrol pump on the battery box, as shown on LeC.4670. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} | ||
