- 2 - (4) Bonnet. This has been fabric covered and the fit is generally bad. Hinges distorted and strained and badly rivetted (by coachbuilders), does not ride properly on stripe, and difficult to open and close. Bonnet locks get jammed on the stripe, and lock plates (Coachbuilders Job) unplated. (5) Radiator mascot, special one of the Prince of Wales. This is not Chromium plated and is fitted on to our ordinary radiator cap. Our special mascot type radiator cap should be used. (6) Radiator - chromium plating, small faulty patch at the side, not very obvious, but may be complained of when cleaned up for service use. (7) Shock absorbers - in adjusting the loading of Valve,- valve covers damaged. Also adjustments not completed, as could not dismantle these valve covers with any ordinary available tools. Other minor details, also coachbuilders jobs, listed and taken up by JLE. {J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} As regards the springing - this is now considered very good (Improved after PN {Mr Northey} 's last test). In spite of heavy springs and "set up" shock absorbers, an occasional "bump" took place at high speeds and on suitable roads (spring clearances and body weights have yet to be reported). His Highness, in view of past experience, may ask for still stronger springs. Steering normally very good, but tendency to "joggle" at high speeds, rough roads - but no worse in this respect than 3-WJ, Open Trials demonstrated to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} in London.
