Dear Sir,

I mentioned to Mr. Grylls yesterday the new range of experimental oils which we have produced, having extremely good viscosity temperature characteristics. It occurred to me that these might be of interest to you in connection with work on Shock Absorbers, since this is an obvious application for a product with these properties.

We have made up two samples, one matching at low temperatures the competitive oil which, I believe, you use, and the other matching the same oil at high temperatures. Tests results are attached.

You will observe that for the same viscosity at 20ºF.{Mr Friese} our new product is twice as thick at 120ºF.{Mr Friese}, or we can offer you an oil with the same viscosity at 120ºF.{Mr Friese}, which will be less than half as thick at 20ºF.{Mr Friese}

These oils are not yet in distribution throughout this country, and we would welcome your opinion on them, since they appear to us to offer great advantages, particularly for Shock Absorber purposes. If you would like us to send you samples of these or any similar products, we shall be pleased to do so, free of charge.

Yours faithfully,
