Messrs. North & Sons, Ltd. Whippendell Rd. Watford. 14th February, 1930. -2- point rectifying on the machine No.98034 sent to you last thing yesterday before this machine is returned to us. We have ourselves, on machines Nos. 83132, 98033 and 98088/90, increased the safety gap with distinctly advantageous results on bench test, and we would like your confirmation that the armature insulation can stand up to this increased potential gradient. Another point which has arisen in connection with these magnetos is that it appears to be a practical improvement to utilise spring washers under the heads of the armature cover securing screws. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
