CONDITIONS. Tests carried out on the Cat & Fiddle Hill - Macclesfield to Buxton. 49-GB car - 20" matrix - standard fan. SUMMARY OF TEST. The results attached confirm the results on the dynamometer that there is a drop in the water temperature if lower gear is used and the car is driven at the same road speed. The difference in the temperature, however, is not very great. This may account for some of the reports we have received that customers have not been able to appreciate any improvement by changing into lower gear. There is no doubt however, as long as the Fan Drive is satisfactory, there is less chance of boiling on the lower gear. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
