Attention Mr Lidsey:

Dear Sirs,

We are obliged for your favour of 5th inst. with regard to preliminary tests made with our bonnet device and before passing comment as to the results obtained by you we should prefer to have your views after completion of final tests.

We have of course definite data as to the actual capacity of the device at rates of speed from 30 to 60 miles per hour and for this reason wonder why you should obtain so little extra extraction; the flip-flap device you mention merely releases pressure but does not function as an extractor, no suction being exerted.

Whatever the outcome of your tests we still have the choice of the self-adjusting fan and the patented fan-shroud. Regarding the fan we hope to be able to advise you in the course of next week.

With compliments,

Yours faithfully,

W.H.COLT.LTD.
