Hollingworth}) President 4 Some very interesting work is being done on self lubricating bearings by The Bireny Co. of America. The clutch thrust on the Packard 120 is one of these & we are trying them ourselves. The lathe ran a bit noisy, lubricated by oil gun filled. Thus it puts what we want for the Phaton clutch & wheel bearings. Poole arrived yesterday and Dy{F R Danby} came to dinner. He had two somewhat momentous suggestions (1) For the Bentley one could have the drop curtain to fix to the frame (2) The car body will have a 13" floor and 53" headroom. There will not be room for an drop frame. A 4" frame & stiff body will be needed. The arches in angle only to carry bodies that pass the required torsional stiffness & flank body builders standing along those lines. GRy{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
