CRACKS IN WRAITH YOKE.26.G.VI.

With reference to the report on the chassis 26.G.VI. which ran a 21,000 miles road test, it is stated that there were cracks in the offside yoke piece and that these were being investigated by the laboratory.

It has been found that the cracks were forging cracks and not caused by running. They were not in the main body of the yoke but in a small boss.

We have also found some small cracks in the upper lever of a Wraith suspension, these also were forging cracks.

There is therefore no need for the Engineering Dept. to take any action.
