For the attention of Mr.Ward.

Dear Sir,

Production Bentley/s - Wing Stays.

During the visit of Messrs. Evernden and Draper to your Works on the 20th. inst. the shaping of the front wing stays was discussed, also with Mr.Green at our Works on the 21st. inst.

It was decided that the wing stay should be packed out at the base by an alum. block to suit the wider wing shape. If it is then possible to fit a suitable shaped alum. packing at the wing lamp sockets, will you please let us have wooden patterns of same, in order that we can get some castings produced.

If you have to reshape the wing stay, please reshape the pair we left with you to suit, and return them as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we are obtaining 50 sets of wing stays to the existing jig to prevent delay.

Yours faithfully,
Rolls-Royce Limited.
Harvey Bailey
Chief Engineer - Chassis!
