E.H. (Experimental). H11/EB8319. Laboratory. c to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} c to Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} Re 2 samples of Benzole. These were tested as to distillation range and gave the following results:- Dull Clear. Starts boiling 47° -- -- 80° -- 6% (6%) 82° 9% 14% (14%) 83° 29% 35% (35%) 85° 53.5% 57% 90° 67.4% 64% 94° 81.5% 71% 100° 76.0% 78.5% 109° 92.0% 84% 110° 94.0% 88.7% 118° All over 89.6% 120° -- 92% 135° -- all over (Total loss = 2 1/2 %) (Total loss = 3.7%) Contained traces of Napthaline. Moisture was absent in both cases. Sulphur below .2% " " Specific Gravity (Dull) = .883, (Clear) = .880 Sulphuric acid test was good in the Dull and passable in the Clear. lrdh | ||
