| LP{Mr Lappin}260 W/S. Lp.{Mr Lappin} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/R.20.3.39. Dear Lp.{Mr Lappin}, I hope that by now you will have got over the worst part of your stay in hospital. It is very unfortunate that you should have had all this pain when the Aircraft Division is so fully occupied. We will do what we can to improve your Bentley, but it is not worth while spending a lot of money, because I hope to recommend that one of the first B.V's will be allotted to you for running. I expect they will announce this car in September, so if they agree, you will not have much longer to put up with your existing car. You may be interested to hear that R.R. Defence unit will be in camp at Stiffkey, Norfolk, for one week - August 13th to 20th. I hope you will come and have a look at us while we are there. Beryl will ring up Rosemary as you suggested. Every good wish for a speedy recovery, Yours sincerely, | ||
