81555. To Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 3/KT. 22. 6. 31. ETHYL PETROL. X.3113. X.1555. The present time Ethyl Petrol is widely distributed throughout the country. It is possible that Rolls-Royce owners may want to know if this fuel is likely to have any harmful effects on their engines if they use it. We consider that it is quite safe to use Ethyl Petrol in R.R. cars. As we have previously pointed out, we do not expect much gain by the use of this fuel because R.R. engines are designed to run satisfactorily on any No.1 petrol.
