COPY OF LETTER FROM MR. MAURICE OLLEY ROLLS-ROYCE OF AMERICA INC. SPRINGFIELD, MASS. OY-1. June 14th, 1929. Mr. A.{Mr Adams} F.{Mr Friese} Sidgreaves, Rolls-Royce Ltd., London, England. Dear Mr. Sidgreaves, Alterations. I should just like to mention how greatly I appreciate the co-operation which we are receiving from everyone in England through your kind assistance. I know that everyone here feels the same but for the moment I am content to tell you that through your agency, the knowledge and experience of the Derby Works and others, but particularly Mr. Bailey and Mr. Hives, have become just as available as though they were across the corridor from my office. It is not possible, and is probably undesirable, that we should agree on all the problems of detail which we have been discussing, but by co-operating in their solution I am sure that our job is greatly lightened at this end, and I hope at least that we may contribute a little to the solution of some of the difficulties in England. With kindest regards. Very truly yours, (Sgd.) Maurice Olley. | ||
