ORIGINAL EX. FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} (EX. is crossed out) Copy to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} (SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} is crossed out) Copy to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E2/M28.1.30. x7080. PHANTOM 2. AIR INLET SILENCER. We send you herewith a blueprint of LeC. 2786. shewing the above modified to reduce the power lost which occurred with the original design. We have reinstated the standard diameter of suction chamber, air valve, and high speed choke. The air supply passage to the air valve has also been enlarged at the expense of some height added to the jet control and the suction chamber, but this has been kept down to a minimum particularly to enable us to withdraw these parts without fouling the induction pipe. The completed drawing will follow shewing details of the breather attachment to crankcase. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
