RE: BONNETS.

With reference to Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std.2/MH. {M. Huckerby} 8.9.37., we cannot understand how these complaints of Bonnets arise, and why it should be necessary for one of the Experimental people to raise them since there are Production people such as JLE. {J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} , LA. {L. A. Archer} , and a Works Organisation, who are constantly dealing with this matter.

We have received reports from the various Departments that the finish of bonnets has considerably improved and it is not assisting the situation whilst we get other people interfering when there is a set Organisation for dealing with such complaints because in the opinion of LA. {L. A. Archer} and others the complaints from Barkers cannot be fully justified and we attach herewith copy of LA {L. A. Archer} 's report on this subject.
