Crankshafts.

I have just received your memo.Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}I7/MJ.2.II.36, and attached copy of memo. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}I8/JH.2.II.36, and note with interest your remarks about scored crankshafts. We shall go into this question very shortly, with a view to finding out if we can tackle this job over here. In the meantime, you can rest assured, as previously mentioned, that B. 60 GA was O.K. when it was built up. The car starts running to-morrow, and apart from a short stay in Brussels, where it will not run up as many miles as we should like, you may rest assured that by Christmas the mileage will be as required, which I presume is 10,000 miles ?

As soon as we receive the cowling for the sump, it will be fitted. Regarding the oil temperature thermometers, I had previously arranged for two of these to be fitted - one to B. 8 GA and the other to B. 60 GA - in such places from which they can easily be produced, as it were, from under the instrument board, and when a customer is in the car they will disappear under the instrument board.
