404 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}1/JH. 20th. May, 1939. Messrs. Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473 High Road, Willesden, LONDON.N.W.10. Dear Sirs, With reference to the wind noise problem on ventilators, through the inefficient rubber seal. We have given one of the ventilators off 10.B.V. to our local coachbuilders to fit a new rubber seal as a sample, but they admit that they have nothing like the rubber seal required in stock. Could you please supply enough rubber strip to refit 8 ventilators, that is 4 sets? We enclose a small piece of rubber which has a T section, this type of section we think would hold in the frame better than the round one. It would of course require the rubber strip as on the round type for sealing purposes. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
