Pt. FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DOUBLE PISTON SHOCK DAMPER. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}4/M10.1.31. X-235- We send herewith N. sch. 3195. shewing a slight modification to N. sch. 3190. to give better clearance for the lever. Since we do not require an air release valve it is thought that we can employ a smaller ball replenishment valve than shewn on N. sch. 3190. It will be noticed on N. sch. 3192. that we shew a somewhat wider main lever than on N. sch. 3190. We wish that on N. sch. 3192. to be worked to. We also notice what is possibly an ambiguity about the note referring to materials on N. sch. 3190. We wish the damper to be tried entirely in cast iron, that is, both upper and lower parts, and entirely in aluminium. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
