Contd. -3- EFC2/T24.6.21. (1) The range of operation between cold and hot condition is greater than we specify. This means some loss of battery charging current in the early stages when the system has been in operation for an hour or so and the shunt winding of the cutout is hot. (2) Owing to the change in reluctance of the magnetic circuit, the cutout takes a larger reverse current to effect the drop off than we specify. (See our EFC2/T9.4.21.) and loss of battery charge again results. On the other hand, the instrument appears to be absolutely reliable. EFC. R.R. 225A (100 T) (S.H. 798. 10-12-20) C 2947 | ||
