ORIGINAL SECRET TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to OJ. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} A.{Mr Adams} C. E1/M15.2.23. 9666 X.4901 - STARTER MOTOR. Further to our E6/M91222, in reply to EFC5/T301122, we expect to have a 2" starter pinion engaging with a 16" fly-wheel - 8 to 1 - driven by the motor through an epicyclic reduction of 4 or 5 to 1. The exact figure for the latter will shortly be settled in designing the gear. Would you kindly pass this information on E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
