COPY W/S H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} "DISCOL" With reference to H7/H15.10.35 and copy of memo. received from FDR. in connection with the above, the results obtained by the Laboratories of one of the Clyde Ship Building Companies is exactly what we expect, as in the first place alcohol absorbs moisture and this is deposited on the working parts of the engine thus causing corrosion, in addition to which the alcohol contained in the 'Discol' brings down particles from the surfaces with which it comes into contact. In regard to chassis B.42.CR.{Mr Cra???ster / Mr Chichester} it may be of course that Mr.Agnew has not used 'Discol' for a sufficient length of time to allow for these ill-effects to materialise.
