To EJJ. X1209 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.10/KW.10.10.35. Bumper Test Rig Electrical Drive. Normal drum r.p.m. for both rigs for bumping = 105, one rig to give 100 h.p. at 800 drum r.p.m. for very occasional 5 minute bursts. Both rigs to have speedometers giving road speed of the drums. Both rigs must be able to run in both directions at 105 drum r.p.m. Maximumm static load required at the periphery of the drum to raise front wheels over 2" cams is 520 lbs. For starting, the drum has had time to gain some considerable inertia before the cam actually hits the car road wheel. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} | ||
