W/S. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} GWN-8. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}8/R.12.7.37. This car is at present on test, and should be ready on Wednesday next. We agree that the tyre noise was very bad. It was, of course, due to the heel and toe tyre wear which had taken place. Normally, this wear is not in evidence until the car has done 4-5,000 miles, unless it has been driven very hard. The modifications to improve idling are being incorporated on the car, also the brakes and a noisy oil pump are having attention. There is not an exhaust boom on this car, but there is a vibration at 15 m.p.h. which we are trying to cure. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
