ordinary suspension. Over medium roads the riding appeared definitely good.

The effect claimed for the air cylinder is that for small distances on either side of the middle position, the piston speed being comparatively high, there is damping. At the ends of the stroke, owing to the lower speed, this damping effect falls and is replaced by an increase of spring rating due to air pressure giving the effect of a variable rating spring.

c The car weighed 1300 lbs unladen and had 2"of movement either side of normal in front, and rather more at the rear.
