346 HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} 35-EX. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Lesl/ RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}4.1.37. RUBBER CONNECTING ROD FOR REAR DAMPERS AND ROLL ROD. We understand that there are no bottom springs pads with suitable ball ends available for the above car unless parts are taken from 32-EX, 38-EX, or 39-EX. Rather than take parts from a complete car we suggest that spring pads are removed from the chassis 39-EX. 39-EX can be sent to the coachbuilders without rear dampers, which will allow time for a further pair of spring pads to be produced.
