1280 Experimental Dept. Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std.12/MH. {M. Huckerby} 19th. September 1938. Messrs.John Marston Ltd., WOLVERHAMPTON. For the attention of Mr.Dunn. Dear Sirs, We are today forwarding to you some of the first details for the Wraith 80 radiator which we discussed with you recently at your works. A list of the drawings is attached, and we are sending you these so that you can proceed with the manufacture of these pieces without any delay. We shall be sending further details as they are completed here. As usual we shall supply machined parts. We are anxious to obtain this inner radiator as soon as possible in order to fit up the outer shell and shutters on it here, and trust that you will do your best to urge the completion of same. We are also returning to you to-morrow, the matrix unit for the second Bentley III radiator which you are now completing. Confirming our telephone conversation, will you please let us have without delay a drawing of the top tank dead eye, top tank supporting strap (an S.S. Jaguar piece which you used on the Bentley III radiators which you have built for us), and shutter grille mounting arrangements. We need these in order to complete our drawings of the Bentley III and Bentley 50 radiators. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
