If the joint is rotated until the lubricator is vertically beneath it, and the small plug taken out to provide an air release at the upper extremity of the joint, the correct quantity of lubricant can be inserted with the grease gun. We do not think that there should be any difficulty in getting reasonably oil-tight joints on the S.S. on production. The above suggestions also apply to the 20 HP. Mechanics Joints.
