I wired you this morning, as follows :-

NUMBER SIX PISTON HEAD FAILED CONSEQUENT DAMAGE AT PRESENT ASCERTAINED ONLY TWO BROKEN PUSHRODS BORE AND HEAD UNDAMAGED DISMANTLING ENGINE TO INVESTIGATE FURTHER - LIDSEY.

to which you replied :-

RECOMMEND YOU RETURN WITH DAMAGED PIECES ALSO BRING WITH YOU BENT FRONT ENGINE SUSPENSION WIRE WHEN YOU WILL ARRIVE DERBY BRING TRADE NUMBER PLATES - HIVES.

My reply being as follows :-

RETURNING AFTER MAKING THOROUGH INSPECTION RETURN PROBABLE SATURDAY PRESUME EVERYONE IS TO RETURN - LIDSEY.

We have dismantled the engine and thoroughly examined it, and can find no further damage.

We are leaving here to-morrow mid-day, and will arrive in Derby on Saturday morning.
