35.EX. - PHANTOM III.

We returned to Paris to-day in the car.

We have thoroughly examined the car underneath for possible damage to the axles and chassis. We have removed the pendulum lever to see whether the splines of the rocker shaft were twisted, and we have carefully measured the car for track alignement and wheel centres.

We can find nothing whatsoever the matter apart from the coachwork damage. The car handled perfectly well on the road in every respect.

We are arranging for a Representative of Messrs. Van Vooren to see the car on Monday morning and advise us concerning the coachwork damage. When we have had his opinion we will communicate with you.

We ourselves are of the opinion that a temporary repair could be effected and running could be resumed this week, and that full repairs could be carried out by Messrs. Park Wards on the completion of the 15.000 miles test.

The injured man is progressing favourably and is to be released from hospital in a day or so.
