About a year ago I sent detailed sketches to scale for this machine, can we not get these drawn out at the Works without alterations and complications which seems to be the chief cause of the delay in the progress upon this work.

There seems to be an impression at the Works that I love complication, no error could be greater, we must achieve our object and do so by the simplest possible means.
