X1166 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}14/KW. 15th June, 1936. Messrs. Donald Sessions & Co.Ltd., 906, Harrow Road, Willesden, LONDON, N.W.10. Dear Sirs, Confirming the conversation we had when you visited our Works on Saturday, one of the two jacks which we handed to you failed at a pressure of 3700 lbs/sq.in., when the top cap began to leak copiously. We hope you will repair these jacks and send them back as soon as possible as they are wanted for an experimental car. As regards the hand pump; as soon as we receive from you a new pump for use in this Department, we will return to you the pump we showed you on Saturday consisting of an old port type casting adapted for use with a valve type pump, which we consider should never have been supplied among your production deliveries. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
