...tially as such details are given to you confidentially as an indication that there appears to present a period in which Walter could do work in Great Britain, probably for a year at least. Should you be interested in such a plan, this year, I will be glad to pass word along to Walter.

You must be fairly well acquainted with news accounts of conditions in the States. But these accounts are difficult to fathom, even when one is here in the thick of it. Fortunately, there has been plenty of work for designing and production engineers. So, I believe, even a slight improvement in business will permit the motor industry to progress. My own opinion is that in a year of rising labor costs, too much increase in weight and performance were built into the 1928 models. It appears likely that many motor producers are going to be prepared to build smaller cars when the used car market load is reduced.
