BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} C. to DL. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL. R1/M29.10.27. NEW PROVISIONAL PATENTS. BRITISH. CARBURETTERS. X8082 Y728 E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} suggests that an expanding carburetter of any type could be coupled to the centrifugal governor - i.e. in our case to the auto: advance relay, which depends on increase of speed for opening out the carburetter. R.{Sir Henry Royce} suggests a restrictor in the venturi of a straight through carburetter, to be drawn downwards or backwards by an air vessel depending upon the depression in the carburetter, or other automatic or manual means.
