TELEPHONE: BIRMINGHAM EAST 1171. TELEGRAMS: FLEXCARBUR, BIRMINGHAM. THE S.U. CARBURETTER CO. LTD. PROPRIETORS:- MORRIS MOTORS LTD. LORD NUFFIELD CHAIRMAN OLIVER BODEN, O.B.E. VICE-CHAIRMAN BORDESLEY GREEN ROAD, ADDERLEY PARK, BIRMINGHAM, 8. T.C. SKINNER, M.I.A.E. MANAGING DIRECTOR YOUR REF: OUR REF: BC/ER 7th April 1937. -- Salt Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., D E R B Y. Dear Mr. Salt, Further to telephone conversation the following is an exact copy of this particular query which incidentally is from our agent in Monte Carlo:- "Concerning a Rolls Bentley which is at present in my Garage, I see from the instruction book that certain washers should be removed from the dash pot after the car has been well run in. I have dismounted the dash pot but cannot find these washers. I shall be glad to learn where these washers are situated and what purpose they serve." As I mentioned on the telephone, although he calls it a Rolls Bentley, the description of the carburetter is in the singular as is also the word 'dash pot' and I was, therefore, wondering whether it is the single carburetter on the 25 h.p. Rolls. We certainly have not heard of anything like this on the twin S.U's on the Bentley. Yours sincerely, B. Cooper | ||
