To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} c. G/JWH. 1139 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}2/AP.8.9.37 With reference to the attached letter from the Tecalemit people we do not use any Tecalemit filter element as standard equipment on any of our cars. In the early experimental Ph.III. cars the Tecalemit filter element was fitted but was replaced by a gauze element of our own make and was incorporatedright from the commencement of production on Ph.III. cars. Recent orders by myself for Tecalemit filter elements are simply for use on our test bed tackle where they are efficient during the running in stages where bearing tests are carried out.
