X 155 We wrote Mr. Royce on May 9th. asking his sanction to standardise the above, which consists of sheet aluminium bent to a simple shape and is bolted to the pendulum gear lever in which the change gear lever works. It has been fitted to the Austrian Trials cars and the Experimental Shop report :- It effectually protects the sliding blocks from mud. and Messrs Johnson, Nadin, Platford and Wormald have signed their agreement to its standardisation to all four speed boxes. We shall be glad if Mr. Royce will let us know his wishes. p.
