Weight of a saloon car's boot and its effect on road stability.

The boot of Lp{Mr Lappin}'s car certainly seems to be unnecessarily heavy, and I think it is well worth your while to go into the design and get out a reasonable scheme. It is a very practical form of luggage grid arrangement, and I showed the car to a number of people last week-end to whom it strongly appealed. I have in fact sold an exactly similar car to my father-in-law. Clearly, the weight in the lid{A. J. Lidsey} of the tail is detrimental to road stability.
