[Handwritten note: Shell] Expl. Dept. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/MJ. 2nd. May, 1934. L.G.Callingham Esq., Messrs. Shell Mex & B.P. Ltd., P.O.Box No.148, Shell Mex House, Victoria Embankment, LONDON.W.C.2. Replying to T. & R.LGC/EMM.1.5.34. Dear Mr. Callingham, It has been decided for the Works convenience that we should only stock one oil at Derby. I have every sympathy, however, with your suggestion that our Service Depots should carry alternative oils to suit individual customers. I would recommend that you write to Mr. Sidgreaves, Conduit Street, London, and say you are prepared to lay down your oils at our Service Depots at your own expense and we to pay for oil which is used. I think you will find him sympathetic. As regards the observations you have recently been making of inlet mixture temperatures, I should be very glad if you could let me see the results. We should also be interested in the method you used in getting the temperatures. Yours sincerely, | ||
