These plugs are now practically a copy of the Bosch, they use the same kind of porcelain for the insulator and the same method of fixing the insulator into the plug body, and they also have three points. We have had six of these on test for some time, we have found no disadvantage in them but they are no improve-ment over the Bosch. If it was suggested to use these plugs as standard we should need to have a lot more plugs to test and run them 10,000 miles. Lodge Water proof Plugs. These are a similar plug to the above except that they have a special terminal on top which has an ebonite cover so that there is no bare connection. I do not know that we have ever had any trouble with water getting on the plugs, I should say they are intended for motor cycles. The advantage they have on the car is that they look neat, also they prevent anyone getting a shock if they accidentally touch a plug when the engine is running; again, it provides a reliable terminal similar to those we use at the other end of the wire on the distributor. We have not run them far enough to know what happens to | ||
