HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/CAP2/AD7.5.31. Dear Sirs, Adverting to your letter of 7th inst., the writer regrets not having dealt with this matter before, but immediately after acknowledging your letter, he had to go to the north of England, and is only now able to return to the subject. We would advise you that the only third-brush system dynamo which Bosch manufacture is for small low-priced cars, where the price question plays an important part. For cars coming under the category of your manufacture, we should definitely recommend a dynamo fitted with a compensated voltage regulator. We should be glad if you would send us the following particulars of your requirements:- (a) Lighting load. (b) Size of battery. (c) Ratio of gearing between dynamo and crankshaft. (d) Maximum crankshaft speed of engine. (e) Crankshaft speed of engine when vehicle is travelling, say 10 m.p.h. direct drive. (f) Position dynamo is installed on car, and the average speed of the cooling wind over the dynamo. With these particulars we would be glad to recommend | ||
