PHANTOM 111 - SUCTION OIL FILTER TO SUIT REVISED STEERING GEAR.

Please receive herewith E.CD.628 Modified Oil Filter for use with Wraith lll type Steering Gear - Phantom lll.

In order to remove filter unit for cleaning purposes without disconnecting the side steering tube joints, we have had to make the following alterations to it.

(1). Retaining stud made shorter and nut lengthened to suit.

(2). Diameter at outer end of filter support is increased by .125".

Number (2) alters the machining for the filter in the engine sump, although the sump casting is not altered.

The remaining parts of the filter are standard.

Will you please detail and instruct experimentally.
