BY/GS. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X4117 BY6/G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 28.2.30. 20 HP. CHASSIS - QUARTERLY COMPLAINTS. ------------------------------------- X4117 X5280. A point was raised at the above Meeting, and was confirmed by.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} in his experience with his 20 HP. car, that the starting carburetter has on certain occasions worked open. This would appear to indicate that we have got certain of the levers in such a position that their weight tends to drag the valve open rather than close it. It is also suggested that we should make exhaust washers for the 20 HP. with a central steel insertion as I produced for repair work on the Phantom 1's. I also wish to confirm my conversation with you that we must get out a scheme for applying the self contained pinion, which I proposed for the 20 HP. some three years ago and later was applied by Mr. Elliott to Japan, to our present production.
