re Bensport J.1. Tachometer Drive.

As there will be no magneto and drive on the Bensport J.1. the rear end of the dynamo seems a very suitable place for carrying a tachometer drive, and we attach herewith a blueprint LeC.3293 showing a proposed design of epicyclic pattern with a ratio of reduction from 1 to 6, giving a quarter engine speed on the cable.

We are sending this through although we understand at the moment it is desired to reverse the direction of rotation of the cable, in which case it will be necessary to mount the planets on stationary pins and finish with an annulus for the drive to the instrument with a suitable readjustment of the diameters of the gearing.
