It will be noticed from Mr. Clark's reports that the "Bijur" can be made to work at 12 volts quite satisfactorily.

We have a second Bijur set on the Packard car; this x435 car is not being used at present; parts of the ignition are at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town.

Mr. Clark and myself are very pleased with the "Bijur" dynamo and recommend that we should consider this type of machine for the "after-the-war-chassis"

With this in view we should like Mr. Royce to run a "Bijur" set, at W.W. as a charging set. It is no use having sets on the cars as they run no milage and what little is run is done in daylight. We could send one of the "Bijur" sets to Mr. Royce adjusted to work at 12 volts, we could also arrange it so that the vibrator regulator was outside and could be observed working. The vibrator regulator appears to be the only part which is likely to give trouble but our results so far show this to be very reliable.

X.3054. We have arranged now, that all experimental electrical work is made, built up in the Expl: Dept: and tested by Mr. Clark. We have taken over Mr. Ellis's experienced man for the work. We have in hand the battery ignition, coil and electric starter motor for chassis. We what to try and
