D.F.P. CHASSIS. X4262

We are arranging to deliver this chassis fitted with a temporary body to W.W. this week-end. We are, however, very disappointed with the running of the car.

The carburation appears to be very unsatisfactory; also the engine gives trouble due to what would appear to be over-oiling as the ignition plugs fail due to excess oil.

You may remember that we could not try this chassis prior to purchasing but we certainly think, before the car is tried by R.{Sir Henry Royce} or those representing him, that the D.F. people or such people as represent them, should have an opportunity of saying that the chassis is up to their standard or otherwise and also to give them an opportunity of making the car to what they consider a satisfactory condition.

Would it be in order for us to arrange, for the man who delivers the car this week-end, to call at Messrs.Bentleys' in London or probably you may prefer for the car to be seen by them at some other place in London. We anticipate that we could arrange for the car to be in London on Friday next the 24th.inst. Please let me hear from you on this matter.
