Dear Robotham,

BRAKES.

As a result of our findings in making and fitting the Brakes you saw and tried when you were here, we are revising, and we think improving the set-up in one or two respects.

New drawings will not be available for a week or two and I will send them along as soon as they are ready, in the meantime, it would help us to know if you are prepared to use cast shoes (malleable or aluminium). We do not like them, but we have an idea that you have always used cast shoes. They certainly make these Brakes easier to make experimentally.

Yours,

M C Wilks.
