(5) Take heat to oil as previously carried out on piston comparison.

(6) Carburation tests to be taken as specified by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}

(7) Unit to be tuned up in all respects and passed off available for fitting in chassis.

WRAITH III NO.4 UNIT.

Unit now being assembled with

(a) Vandervell big end bearings -

3 in 3-layer material.
3 in Babbit.

(b) Split skirt pistons EB.4740 raised crown as produced by Aerolite.

(c) Double valve springs.

After running in run endurance of 25 hrs. as follows:-

Each hour.
30 mins. 4000
25 mins. 4250
5 mins. 4500

Each 10 hours.
7 hrs. full load.
2 hrs. 1/2 load.
1 hr. 1/4 load.

Run on Mot.'C' at oil inlet temp. 100°C.
