RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.4/MA.3.1.33. STARTER MOTOR PINIONS. The starter gear ring on the J.3 chassis has worn very badly, the engaging corners and the teeth being badly chipped. When the car comes into the shop next it will be necessary to file the burrs of the engaging corners as the motor gearring now is very noisy. In order to prevent the rapid wear of the starter flywheel gear ring we shall be glad if you will make up 2 starter motor pinions in Ex.E3 alloy, the piece number of the pinion is D.53130.
