That this efficiency figure is approximately correct was confirmed by a preliminary test in which an efficiency of 70% was assumed, so that after each high rate discharge 43% more ampere-minutes were replaced than were taken out, and we have found that in these circumstances the battery appeared to keep reasonably fully charged, after each replacement charge.
