19th March, 1937.

Messrs. Jonas Woodhead & Sons Ltd.,
Kirkstall Road,
L E E D S. 4.

For the attention of Mr. Sanders.

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter dated the 18th, and the enclosed drawings of the 5 plate Bentley rear springs.

I note there is no dimension given for the length of the drawing points. These must be long, and I suggest 5". The oil holes should be .250 diameter.

We have been examining the finish of your FW.754 springs, and very much prefer the finish of the top plates which are cadmium plated. Can you let me have a price for these FW.754 springs in quantities of 400, cadmium plated throughout?

For the Bentley springs to your drawings 14233 and 14231, I should like prices for cadmium plated and un-plated in quantities of 400, before you proceed with the sample pairs.

I am enclosing a drawing of our centre bolt.

Yours faithfully,

For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
